This covers the iOS apps Kelp (including Live mode), DUET, Marble Music, Anemone, Tape Eater, Bloom, Ghost98, Buoy, and Trench by Todd Cunningham II. This is not the Swedish company Aqua Mobilis AB.

What we collect

The apps do not create accounts. They do not have their own servers. Audio and camera frames are processed on your device. Projects, sessions, and recordings stay on your device unless you export or share them yourself.

Kelp (including Live mode), Anemone, Tape Eater, Bloom, Ghost98, Buoy, and Trench

These apps have no ads and no in-app purchases. They do not use advertising identifiers.

DUET

DUET is free. The current App Store version shows no ads and has no in-app purchases. It does not use advertising identifiers.

Marble Music

Marble Music is free and may show a small banner ad from Google AdMob. You can pay once, through Apple, to remove ads forever. Apple processes that purchase. We never see your payment details.

When ads are shown, Google may collect device information, IP address, and advertising identifiers. We ask Google for non-personalized ads. Google’s policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Camera and photos

Anemone uses the camera for on-device hand pose. Tape Eater uses the camera and can load and save video through Photos. Camera frames and video are processed on your device. They are not uploaded. Neither app has an account or its own servers.

Microphone

Trench uses the microphone for on-device capture. DUET Rec uses a two-second on-device sample. Tape Eater’s Silt mode may use the microphone for on-device audio analysis (FFT). In each case, audio is processed on your device. It is not uploaded. Tape Eater’s Silt audio is not recorded and not saved to Photos. None of these apps have an account or their own servers.

Children

The apps are rated 4+. The current App Store version of DUET has no ads and no Remove Ads purchase. Ads may appear only in Marble Music. Anemone and Tape Eater use the camera on your device. Trench, DUET Rec, and Tape Eater’s Silt mode use the microphone on your device. If you do not want ads on a child’s device, use Remove Ads in Marble Music or do not install Marble Music.
